Petrofac awarded second phase of Iraq project
Petrofac, the international oilfield service provider, has announced a contract extension from South Oil Company (SOC) for its Iraq Crude Oil Expansion Project. The 12-month extension, worth around US$99 million includes the second phase of the project and will see the Company provide an additional scope of operations and maintenance services.

Petrofac Awarded Deepwater Project Offshore Mexico
Petrofac’s Engineering & Consulting Services business (ECS), in partnership with Doris Engineering of Houston (Doris), has been awarded a project management contract by Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) for specialised technical assistance and supervision for the construction, installation, commissioning, testing and start-up of deep-water subsea wells and infrastructure for the Lakach project. The scope will also involve drilling activities and tie-ins to existing onshore facilities. Initially involving around 25 engineers, based in Mexico and Houston, the project is scheduled to complete towards the end of 2015.

Petrofac Awarded Services Contract in Algeria
Petrofac, the international oil and gas service provider, has been awarded a substantial services contract in Algeria, by the In Salah Gas and In Amenas joint ventures comprising Sonatrach, BP and Statoil.

Petrofac Brings Berantai On Stream Offshore Malaysia
Petrofac is pleased to announce that gas production from the Berantai field, offshore Malaysia, has commenced. Petrofac is Operator of the field and has led the development under a Risk Services Contract (RSC), working alongside its local partner SapuraKencana Petroleum, on behalf of Petronas, the Malaysian National Oil Company.

Petrofac Awarded Two Contracts at Jazan
Petrofac has been awarded two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) packages for Saudi Aramco’s Jazan Refinery and Terminal project. When complete, the refinery will produce around 400,000 barrels of oil per day and have associated terminal facilities on the Red Sea near Jazan in the south west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Petrofac JV wins US$229 million contract in Iraq
Petrofac has won a further inspection, maintenance and repair contract for the Rumaila oil field in Southern Iraq with its joint venture partner, China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC). The US$229 million contract was awarded by BP Iraq NV (BP), via the Rumaila Operating Organisation (ROO), following a competitive tender.

Petrofac Extends North Sea Contract With Apache
Petrofac, the international oil & gas service provider, has been awarded a contract by Apache North Sea Limited (Apache) for the provision of onshore engineering and both onshore and offshore construction services. The three-year contract, which was awarded following a competitive tender process, has two optional one-year extensions and is worth approximately £100 million per annum.

Petrofac and Schlumberger Selected Bidder by PEMEX
Following the announcement by Petróleos Mexicanos (‘PEMEX’), Petrofac confirms that, together with its partner Schlumberger, it has been declared the selected bidder on the Pánuco integrated production service contract in Mexico. The contract, which runs for 30 years, is expected to be signed in late August 2012 and field operations are expected to start around the beginning of 2013.
