PGNiG and Qatargas sign memorandum of understanding for the LNG supplies contract
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA and Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding concerning the LNG supplies contract of June 29th 2009. Pursuant to the Memorandum, PGNiG i Qatargas, which have a long track record of cooperation, have changed the terms on which the Long-Term Contract will be performed in 2015.

Grupa LOTOS S.A. Selects Axens’ Technology for its Coker Naphtha Hydrotreating Unit
The Polish company Grupa LOTOS S.A. has selected Axens to provide the technology license for a new Coker Naphtha Hydrotreater at its Gdansk refinery. This contract is part of the Gdansk refinery development and modernization program based on heavy residue coking technology.

Rosneft Signs Long-Term Supply Deals via Druzhba Pipeline
On February 1, 2013 Rosneft President and Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin visited Hamburg to sign a contract for supply of crude oil via the Druzhba pipeline to Poland, where the crude will be purchased by PKN Orlen, owner of the Plotsk refinery. The amount of the contract equals to ca. 15 billion USD at current prices. The contract envisages a supply volume of some 6 mln tonnes per year (totalling approximately 18 mln tonnes for the whole contract period). Delivery term for the contract is until January 31, 2016.

Conclusion of the next annex to the agreement between Rafineria Trzebinia and PGNiG
Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. (“PKN ORLEN”) announces that on 19 December 2012 Rafineria Trzebinia S.A. (“Rafineria Trzebinia”) and Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. („PGNiG”) signed the next annex (“Annex”) to the agreement dated 15 May 2008 for crude oil deliveries from PGNiG to Rafineria Trzebinia (“Agreement”).

Polskie LNG: Świnoujście LNG Terminal’s expansion aims to meet the market demand
Polskie LNG Company, established to construct and operate the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Świnoujście (Poland), on November 20th, 2012 launched a market research procedure (so-called Market Screening) to assess the demand for the technical expansion of the terminal and the provision of additional services.

LOTOS and CalEnergy to jointly develop gas fields in the Baltic Sea
LOTOS Petrobaltic S.A. and CalEnergy Resources Poland Sp. z o.o. will cooperate in the development of B4 and B6 gas fields on the Baltic Sea. The total quantities of natural gas reserves amount to as much as 4 billion cubic metres. The two companies executed a cooperation agreement in Gdańsk on October 30th 2012.

Gaz-System Raised EBRD Financing For The Development Of The LNG In Świnoujście
On 4 October 2012, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. signed an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a PLN 300 million investment loan to be used for the development of the LNG in Świnoujście. Thereby, the company closed the financing for this strategic project.
