On June 15, 2012 Rosneft and ExxonMobil signed agreements for the joint development of several tight oil fields in Western Siberia and for ExxonMobil’s entry into the Arctic Research and Design Center for Offshore Development. The signing marks a further step in the implementation of the long-term Strategic Cooperation Agreement signed between the two companies in August 2011 and paving the way for broad cooperation between the companies in Russia and in a number of international projects managed by ExxonMobil.

Statoil signs cooperation agreement with Rosneft
Statoil (OSE:STL, NYSE:STO) and Rosneft today signed a cooperation agreement. The companies have agreed to jointly explore offshore frontier areas of Russia and Norway and to conduct joint technical studies on two onshore Russian assets.
The agreement also envisages Rosneft’s acquisition of participating interests in selected Statoil projects.

Field Development Plan Being Specified at Block 245 South in Algeria
Rosneft-Stroytransgaz Limited (RN-STG), controlled by Rosneft and Stroytransgaz, is working jointly with Sonatrach, Algeria’s national oil company, to begin reservoir delineation at three earlier discovered deposits within Block 245 South in Algeria. The three deposits are East Takuazet, West Takuazet and North Tisselit.

Vankor Oil Output Exceeds Planned Volumes by 218,000 Tonnes
Vankorneft, a Rosneft subsidiary, produced 3.968 million tonnes of oil in the first quarter of this year (as of 27.03.2012), which is 218,000 tonnes (6%) more than targeted in the business plan. This also represents a 21% increase year-on-year (of 690,000 tonnes).

Rosneft Consolidates Stake in OJSC Vostsibneftegaz
Rosneft has increased its stake in OJSC Eastern Siberian Oil and Gas Company (OJSC Vostsibneftegaz) from 70.78% to 99.87% through the acquisition of shares from Montenore Investment LTD and from minority shareholders as part of a mandatory buy back offer procedure. The Company paid 9.3 billion rubles to consolidate its stake in OJSC Vostsibneftegaz.
