NOVATEK acquires 51% interest in Sibneftegas
OAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK” and/or the “Company”) announced today the closing of the transaction to acquire a 51% interest in OAO Sibneftegas (“Sibneftegas”), by the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, OOO NOVATEK Severo-Zapad, from OAO Gazprombank. The acquisition price for the 51% interest amounted to RR 26,883 million.

Chevron and Other Shareholders Sanction Caspian Pipeline Expansion
Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) today announced that the shareholders and governing bodies of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) have unanimously approved the $5.4 billion expansion of the Caspian pipeline. The capacity of the 900-mile (1500 km) pipeline, which carries crude oil from Western Kazakhstan to a dedicated terminal in the Black Sea, will increase to 1.4 million barrels per day from its current capacity of 730,000 barrels per day.

Alfa Laval wins SEK 70 million energy-efficiency order in Russia
Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has received an order for compact heat exchangers from a refinery in Russia. The order value is about SEK 70 million and delivery is scheduled for 2011.

Gazprom to boost small-scale LNG production in Russia
Yekaterinburg hosted today a circuit session of the Gazprom Science & Technology Council's Workshop on Efficient Distribution and Utilization of Gas and Other Energy Resources. The session addressed the development of a regulatory framework for small-scale production, storage and utilization of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

South Stream is estimated to cost EUR 15.5 billion
It is currently forecast that the upward gas demand trend will continue in the long run. In particular, after 2020 the 'blue fuel' consumption in Europe is expected to surpass 600 billion cubic meters, while indigenous production will decline by half. Accordingly, South Stream will provide one of the few real opportunities to tackle the challenges related to overcoming the lack of energy carriers and maintaining the energy security in Europe.

Saratov Oil Refinery Launches Production of Euro 3-Standard Fuel
The Saratov Oil Refinery (a subsidiary of TNK-BP) has begun producing gasoline and diesel fuel certified for conformance with Euro 3 standards as part of a long-term TNK-BP program to improve the quality and expand the range of its products.

Cumulative production at Vankor reaches 15 million tons
Today Rosneft produced the 15-millionth ton of oil since the beginning of operation on Vankor field. The Vankor oil and gas field is located in the north of Krasnoyarsk Territory. Commercial oil production began in August 2009. 117 producing wells on 14 well pads deliver current daily production of 36,000 tons (more than 263,000 barrels per day). In the first 10 months of 2010 the Vankor field produced 11 mln tons of oil. The annual production plan for the year is 12.7 mln. tons, that’s 200,000 tons over planned volumes.

Facilities currently operating at the field include a booster pump station with preliminary water separation unit, as well as a diesel fuel production facility with capacity of 50 thousand tons a year to supply the company’s own needs.

CB&I Awarded Feed Contract for Shtokman LNG Export Terminal Project
CB&I (NYSE: CBI) announced today that CB&I Lummus has been awarded a contract for the front-end engineering & design (FEED) services for the Shtokman LNG storage and loading facility at the sea port in Terriberka in the Murmansk region of the Russian Federation. The sea port is part of the Shtokman Gas-Condensate Field Development Project developed by Gazprom Dobycha Shelf LLC, a fully owned subsidiary of Gazprom JSC. CB&I's contract, which is scheduled for completion in 2011, has been awarded by Giprospetsgas JSC, the project general designer. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Rosneft Started Oil Deliveries to ESPO Pipeline to China
Today at 8:03 a.m. Moscow time the oil, produced by Rosneft ventures and delivered to East Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO) Trunk Pipeline has crossed the Russian-Chinese border via the pipeline branch and arrived to the border town of Mohe.

TNK-BP has completed a major investment project at the saratov refinery
The Saratov Refinery has commissioned a rail loading rack for dark products (fuel oil and VGO), a project that had commenced in 2008. The project investments amounted to about USD 30 mln.
