Bualuang Field Update
Salamander Energy announces that due to a damaged production riser, production from the Bualuang oil field has been temporarily shut-in.

During bad weather conditions, the Rubicon Vantage FPSO drifted into the exclusion zone designed to protect the production infrastructure. The Vantage’s mooring chains then came into contact with, and damaged, the production riser resulting in a small amount of oil being observed on the surface.

Atwood Oceanics Announces Contract for the Atwood Mako
ATWOOD OCEANICS, INC., announced today that one of its subsidiaries has been awarded a contract by Salamander Energy (Bualuang) Limited, for the newbuild jackup Atwood Mako. The day rate for work offshore Thailand will be $145,000 and the award is for a firm duration of 12 months. The Atwood Mako is currently under construction with PPL Shipyard PTE LTD in Singapore and will have a rated water depth of 400 feet, accommodations for 150 personnel and significant offline handling features. Contract commencement is expected in direct continuation of shipyard delivery, currently anticipated to be September 2012.

Increased equity interest in Bangkanai PSC
Salamander Energy plc announces that it has agreed to acquire the full authorised share capital of Elnusa Chariot International Limited (“Chariot”), which holds an 11% interest in the Bangkanai PSC. Salamander is the operator of the Bangkanai PSC and on completion of the transaction will hold an 80% interest in the licence. Salamander is acquiring Chariot from PT. Elnusa Patra Ritel for a cash consideration of US$6 million.

South Sebuku-2 Appraisal Success
Salamander Energy plc announces the results of the recent appraisal drilling and testing programme on the South Sebuku-2 ("SS-2") well, Bengara-1 PSC, East Kalimantan. The Group has a 42% non-operated interest in the Bengara-1 PSC.
