Sinopec, Saudi Aramco Sign YASREF Joint Venture Agreement
China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and Saudi Aramco today signed a joint venture agreement related to the ongoing development of Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) Limited, formerly the Red Sea Refining Company. The agreement brings together two world-class companies that will complete construction and operate a highly competitive full-conversion refinery in Yanbu`, on the west coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Sartorp to Sell Sukuk to Saudi Investors
The Capital Market Authority (CMA)’s Board has issued its resolution number 2-25-2011 on 14/9/1432H [14/8/2011G] approving the public offering of sukuk certificates (the "Sukuk") by Arabian Aramco Total Services Company ("AATSC"), a company especially established for the purpose of issuing the Sukuk on behalf of SAUDI ARAMCO TOTAL Refining and Petrochemical Company ("SATORP"). The total offering size will be determined at a later stage by SATORP.

Alfa Laval wins SEK 75 million refinery order in Saudi Arabia
Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has received an order for Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchangers to a refinery in Saudi Arabia. The order value is about SEK 75 million and delivery is scheduled for 2012.
The Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchangers will be used in a catalytic reforming unit for production of gasoline. Last year half of Alfa Laval’s big orders came from refineries and the vast majority of these included Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchangers.

Samsung Engineering awarded all four packages for Shaybah NGL plant project
On March 21st, Samsung Engineering officially inked a $2.76 bn USD contract for the Shaybah NGL (Natural Gas Liquid) project at a signing ceremony held at Saudi Aramco headquarters in Dhahran. The ceremony was attended by key figures, such as Saudi Aramco's Executive Director of Project Management Majid Yousif Mugla and Samsung Engineering's President & CEO Park Ki-Seok.

Saudi Aramco, and PetroChina MOU Signed for Refinery in Yunnan, China
Aramco Overseas Company B.V., a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, and PetroChina Company Limited, a subsidiary of CNPC, signed on March 17, 2011, a Memorandum of Understanding related to the planned development of a 10 million metric tons per annum (200,000 barrels per day) grassroots full conversion refinery in Yunnan Province in the People’s Republic of China.
