Wood Group awarded a 3-year contract extension by Hess Limited
Wood Group has been reappointed for three years as the prime contractor by Hess Limited and co-venturers to provide operations & maintenance services to the Triton FPSO operating in the Bittern, and Greater Guillemot Area, located 140 miles east of Aberdeen. The contract also has three further one-year extension options and is estimated to be worth up to £50million per year.

Baker Hughes Opens Marcellus Shale Repair and Maintenance Center
Baker Hughes (NYSE: BHI) announced today the opening of its Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, repair and maintenance center. The facility will support natural gas well drilling, completion and production operations in the Marcellus Shale. The 57,000-square-foot center represents a $16 million investment and is part of a multiyear $250 million infrastructure investment to support Marcellus Shale operations. Baker Hughes currently operates from 27 locations and employs nearly 1,000 people in the region.

Baker Hughes Awarded Eight-Year ESP Contract in Ecuador
Baker Hughes (NYSE: BHI) announced today it was awarded a $137-million, eight-year contract extension from Repsol for the exclusive supply and maintenance of electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems in Ecuador’s Block 16 and Tivacuna production areas. The award covers 200 wells in which Repsol requires ESP systems to maximize production.

PATTERSON-UTI ENERGY, INC. (Nasdaq: PTEN) today announced that two subsidiaries of the Company, Universal Pressure Pumping, Inc. and Universal Wireline, Inc. have completed the acquisition of pressure pumping and wireline assets from subsidiaries of Key Energy Services, Inc.
