Golar LNG - Expanding fleet
Golar LNG Limited ("Golar" or the "Company") today announced details of an expansion to its fleet. The Board of Golar has in the recent months considered several options for expanding the Company's activities. This has included growth through acquisitions as well as organic growth. Particular emphasis has been given to valuations, operating efficiencies and timing of such an expansion. The Board sees significant strength in the present development in the LNG shipping market. Global LNG trade is estimated to increase by in the region of 8%-10 % per year over the next few years with further upside if US LNG exports materialise.

Hornbeck Offshore Announces OSV Newbuild Program #5
Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc. (NYSE:HOS) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved a new vessel construction program for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hornbeck Offshore Services, LLC. The Company plans to build sixteen U.S.-flagged 300 class DP-2 new generation offshore supply vessels ("OSV") for its Upstream business segment with options to build an additional 16 substantially similar vessels should future market conditions warrant their construction. This will be the Company's eighth vessel newbuild program since its inception in 1997, and its fifth newbuild program involving state-of-the-art, technologically advanced new generation OSVs.

NOVATEK first to navigate the Northern Sea Route in 2011
OAO NOVATEK (NOVATEK and/or the Company) has announced the inaugural voyage of a high-tonnage Panamax class tanker, which has navigated a new route north of the New Siberian Islands. On 29 June 2011, the tanker “Perseverance” set sail from the Russian port of Murmansk carrying a cargo of 60 thousand tons of NOVATEK’s stable gas condensate destined for consumers in China. Icebreaking support for this voyage was provided by Russia’s Atomflot, a government-owned shipping entity, and the tanker is now on course to its final destination.

A major step towards the new environmental era for tanker shipping
The introduction of a new crude oil tanker concept that is fuelled by liquefied natural gas, has a hull shape that removes the need for ballast water and will almost eliminate local air pollution. This concept vessel also recovers hundreds of tons of cargo vapours on each voyage and represents a major step towards the new environmental era for the tanker shipping industry.
