Siemens receives major order for Yamal LNG project in Russia
Siemens will deliver the key components for a power station that is going to supply the future Yamal LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) production plant in Northern Russia with electricity and heat. The Siemens scope of supply comprises the design, manufacture, factory testing, delivery, installation and commissioning of eight SGT-800 industrial gas turbines as well as nine step-up transformers.

Siemens and China National Petroleum Corporation conclude framework agreement
Siemens has concluded a framework agreement with China's biggest oil and gas corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), to supply the entire electrical engineering and electrical systems for the first phase of the planned Guangdong Petrochemical Refinery in China. The refinery will be built in Jieyang in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong and, once completed, will be the largest refinery in China. The first stage of the plant complex is scheduled for commissioning in late 2015.

Siemens to supply compression solutions for LNG plant in Malaysia
Siemens Energy has been awarded a contract for supplying turbo compressors and mechanical drive gas turbines for a major Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project in Malaysia. The project will help to improve overall plant efficiency and minimize gas flaring at the Petronas Bintulu LNG Plant in Sarawak, East Malaysia.

Sinopec selects Siemens for wastewater treatment at Chinese refinery
Siemens Water Technologies will provide a system to treat wastewater at China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec Corp.)’s Anqing refinery, in Anhui Province, China. The complete wastewater treatment solution will include a powdered activated carbon treatment (PACT) system, a Zimpro wet air regeneration (WAR) hydrothermal unit, and a Hydro-Clear sand filtration system. The three-tier system will be used to treat salty and oily wastewater from refining and petrochemical production activities from existing and upgraded units. The wastewater needs to meet the Chinese specifications for surface discharge. The system will become operational in 2012.
