Development plan for Peregrino Phase II submitted
Following the sanction of the Peregrino phase 2 project in December, Statoil together with its partner Sinochem submitted the Plan of Development (PoD) to the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) in Rio de Janeiro on 30 January.

On the morning of January 16, the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit for the 12 million tons per annum oil refining project of Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Sinochem Group) started operation by receiving oil. Mr. Du Guosheng, Vice President of Sinochem Group and General Manager of Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was on site to give instructions.

Pioneer Natural Resources Announces $1.7 Billion Horizontal Wolfcamp Shale Transaction with Sinochem
Pioneer Natural Resources Company (NYSE:PXD) (“Pioneer” or “the Company”) today announced that the Company has signed an agreement with Sinochem Petroleum USA LLC, a U.S. subsidiary of the Sinochem Group (“Sinochem”), to sell 40% of Pioneer’s interest in approximately 207,000 net acres leased by the Company (“joint interest area”) in the highly prospective horizontal Wolfcamp Shale play in the southern portion of the Spraberry Trend Area Field for a total price of $1.7 billion. At closing, Sinochem will pay $500 million in cash to Pioneer, before normal closing adjustments, and will pay the remaining $1.2 billion by carrying a portion of Pioneer’s share of future drilling and facilities costs (“drilling carry”).

Colombia: Total sells assets for about 1 billion dollars
Total announces the signature of an agreement with Sinochem to sell TEPMA BV. This fully owned affiliate of Total holds a working interest in the Cusiana field as well as a participation in OAM and ODC pipelines in Colombia. Total share of production of Cusiana is around 7,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. This transaction is subject to approval by the relevant authorities. This sale follows a divestiture of a 5 % working interest in the Ocensa pipeline to Petrominerales and of another 5 % to Cepsa in July 2011. The combined value of the three transactions amounts to about US$ 1 billion.

Statoil and Sinochem successfully close Peregrino offshore field transaction
