SOCAR Marketing and Economic Operations Department exported 159 thousand 544 tons of crude oil from the Novorossiysk Port, 315 thousand 319 tons of crude oil from the Supsa Port, and 1 million 886 thousand 334 tons of crude oil from the Ceyhan Port in July 2012.

2.7 mln tones of oil delivered to world markets from Ceyhan Port in June 2012
2 mln 716 mln 719 tones of Azerbaijani oil were transported from Ceyhan Port to the world markets in June 2012. (1 mln 618 thousand 588 tones out of total volume were delivered by the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan).

A ‘Notice of Discovery and its Commerciality’ for the Absheron discovery was submitted on June, 1 on behalf of the partnership Socar - Total - GDF Suez by operator Total E&P Absheron.
This step is an important milestone in the frame work of the Agreement on Exploration, Development and Production Sharing for the Absheron offshore block in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea (EDPSA) signed on February 27, 2009.

Signing ceremony for Change in Control procedure of Esso Switzerland assets by SOCAR takes place in Zurich, Switzerland
On June 29, the signing ceremony for the Change in Control procedure for purchase of ExxonMobil’s Esso Switzerland assets by SOCAR took place in Zurich, Switzerland.
SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev, head of SOCAR Investments Department Vagif Aliyev, as well as Peter Szanto and Dr. Annette Flormann-Pfaff on behalf of ExxonMobil Company participated at the ceremony. Thereby, the control over the assets of Esso Switzerland had been conveyed to SOCAR.

Shah Deniz Stage 2 Project Enters the Next Phase of Development
The Shah Deniz consortium has reached an important milestone and approved the decision to commence Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) on the estimated $25 billion Shah Deniz Stage 2 project. 2,4 million tons of Azerbaijani oil transported via BTC in February
n February 2012, 2 million 450 thousand 872 tons of Azerbaijani oil were transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export pipeline. 5 million 228 thousand 638 tons of oil were transported through this pipeline during January-February 2012.

In Chui oblast is expected to build an oil refinery with a capacity of 2.0 million tons

The well #2288 drilled from the platform #1887 at Oil Rocks field has recently been commissioned.
