GDF SUEZ becomes a natural gas storage leader in Germany and number 1 in Europe
GDF SUEZ through its subsidiary Storengy has agreed today to buy five natural gas underground storage facilities in Germany and a 19.7% stake in another one. The transaction covers the storage facilities held by BEB Speicher GmbH and by ExxonMobil Gasspeicher Deutschland GmbH. Whilst BEB Speicher GmbH is an affiliate of BEB Erdgas und Erdöl GmbH (BEB) which in turn is a joint venture between Shell and ExxonMobil, ExxonMobil Gasspeicher Deutschland GmbH (EMGSG) is an ExxonMobil affiliate.

BPL to Acquire 80% Interest in Marine Storage Facility in Freeport, Bahamas
Buckeye Partners, L.P. (“Buckeye”) (NYSE: BPL) announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire an 80 percent interest in Bahamas Oil Refining Company International (“BORCO”) from affiliates of First Reserve Corporation (“First Reserve”) for $1.36 billion. BORCO is the fourth largest oil and petroleum products storage terminal in the world and the largest petroleum products facility in the Caribbean with current storage capacity of 21.6 million barrels. Buckeye expects to finance the purchase through a combination of equity and debt.

Petrofac Acquires Interest in UK Gas Storage Company
Petrofac, the international oil & gas facilities service provider, announces that it has acquired a 20% interest in Gateway Storage Company Limited (Gateway), to progress and develop the Gateway Gas Storage project in the East Irish Sea. The cash consideration could be up to £33 million over time, funded from cash resources. This is split into a fixed upfront payment and additional contingent payments subject to key project development milestones being achieved, including the outcome of a further successful equity sales process.

Enterprise to Build Crude Oil Facility Linking Eagle Ford Shale Production to Houston-Area Refining Complex
Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE:EPD) today announced plans to construct a crude oil storage facility and associated pipelines to provide refiners in the Houston area with access to growing production from the Eagle Ford Shale play in South Texas. A 150-acre tract in an industrial area of southeast Houston has been purchased as the site for the new Enterprise Crude Houston terminal.

Senergy Awarded Taqa Contract On Flagship European Gas Storage
Global diversified energy services company Senergy has been awarded a significant contract by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA) to work on a flagship onshore underground natural gas storage project which will significantly enhance the security of energy supply in the Netherlands and other parts of Europe.

PAA Announces Expansions of Its Cushing Terminal Facility
Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. (NYSE:PAA) announced today that it is adding a new pipeline interconnect and approximately four million barrels of storage capacity at its Cushing Terminal Facility in three phases. In the aggregate, the construction of Phase IX, X and XI expansion projects will expand PAA's existing crude oil storage capacity by approximately 30% and enhance the connectivity of PAA's Cushing, Oklahoma terminal. The Partnership expects these projects to cost a total of approximately $85 million.

Eni signs lease agreement with the Crown Estate and obtains a Gas Storage License from DECC for Deborah Gas Storage Project
Today, Eni announces the signing of an agreement with the Crown Estate for the use of the Deborah Gas Storage field as a storage facility, a project which will significantly boost the security of supply and market flexibility of the North West European gas market.
