Notice on “Force majeure” in Syria
In compliance with the Croatian Government Decision dated 23 February 2012 on the implementation of the EU Council Decision concerning restrictive measures against the Syrian Arab Republic issued on 01 December 2011, INA delivered yesterday the force majeure notice to the General Petroleum Company (GPC) of Syria related to the Production Sharing Agreement for the Hayan Block signed in 1998 and Production Sharing
Agreement for the Aphamia Block signed in 2004.

Hydrocarbon production change in Syria
As previously announced Council of the European Union has passed decisions and has further tightened the EU’s sanctions against Syria and imposed a ban on the import of Syrian oil to the EU. The prohibition concerns purchase, import and transport of oil and other petroleum products from Syria, as well as a ban on providing financial or insurance services for such transactions.

On 02 September 2011 Council of the European Union has passed decisions and has further tightened the EU’s sanctions against Syria and imposed a ban on the import of Syrian oil to the EU. The prohibition concerns purchase, import and transport of oil and other petroleum products from Syria, as well as a ban on providing financial or insurance services for such transactions.
