Rubis In Exclusive Talks To Purchase Total Holding In French Antilles Refinery (SARA)
Rubis has remitted to Total an irrevocable offer to purchase its 50% holding in SARA, a refinery based in Martinique supplying the French Antilles and Guiana.

GE‘s Compression Technology Supporting Total S.A. to Expand and Enhance its Antwerp Refinery
GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) today announced that it will provide France-based energy company Total S.A. with a variety of compressors for a refinery off-gas (ROG) expansion project at its Antwerp, Belgium, refinery complex. The project is part of Total’s $1.3 billion overall investment to expand and enhance the capabilities of its Antwerp refinery.

Fluor Secures Canadian Oil Sands Contract
Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) was awarded an engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction contract by Fort Hills Energy L.P. for the utilities scope of the Fort Hills oil sands mining project. The project is located about 90 kilometers north of Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada. Fluor booked the contract for $1.3 billion in the third quarter of 2014.

Drilling Begins on the Libra Field in Brazil
With a target depth of 5,850 meters, the first appraisal well was spudded on Libra field off the coast of Brazil in early August. The super-giant field, located 200 kilometers offshore, has estimated resources of between 8 billion and 12 billion barrels in reservoirs that lie under a thick layer of salt. The well kicks off several years of work that will allow Total and its partners¹ to improve their understanding of the gigantic field.

Bechtel Puts LNG Tanks to the Test on Curtis Island Projects
Bechtel has successfully hydro tested two additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks built on Curtis Island in Queensland. The tests confirm that the tanks built for the Australia Pacific LNG and Santos GLNG plants are ready to store LNG and follow the successful test of a tank at the Queensland Curtis LNG project earlier this year. Bechtel is the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the plants, being built simultaneously side-by-side.

Bechtel Completes Installation of Modules for LNG Train at Australian Facility
Bechtel has successfully delivered and installed all of the modules for the first liquefied natural gas production train at the GLNG facility on Curtis Island in Queensland. The successful installation marks a major milestone in the construction of the plant, which will consist of two production trains.

INPEX Launches Hull of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Facility for Ichthys LNG Project
INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) announced today it launched the hull of the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facility for the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project from the dry dock at the Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard in Okpo, South Korea.

Technip awarded large contract for the Edradour Subsea Development, West of Shetlands, UK
Technip was awarded a contract by Total E&P UK for the Edradour Subsea Development, located approximately 75 kilometers North West of the Shetland Islands, in approximately 300 meters of water.

UK: Total launches Edradour development and acquires a 60% interest in Glenlivet
Total, together with its partner DONG, has decided to launch the development of the Edradour gas field in the West of Shetland area, and has in addition acquired a 60% interest in the neighboring Glenlivet discovery. The tie backs of Edradour and Glenlivet to Laggan-Tormore are expected to add reserves of more than 65 million barrels of oil equivalent.

CLOV Start Up In Angola: Total Increases Block 17 Production To 700,000 Barrels Per Day
Total, operator of Block 17 in Angola, today started up CLOV, a major deep offshore development located 140 kilometers offshore Luanda, in line with the initial project schedule. With a production capacity of 160,000 barrels per day, CLOV will develop proven and probable reserves of over 500 million barrels. After Girassol, Dalia and Pazflor, CLOV is the fourth Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit on Block 17.
