U.S. State Department’s environmental statement provides basis for Keystone approval on environmental, economic, energy security
The U.S. State Department’s final environmental impact statement for the Canada-U.S. Keystone XL oil pipeline project provides the basis for approval of the pipeline on its strong environmental, economic and energy security merits, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers said today.

Final Environmental Review Demonstrates Keystone XL Should be Approved
TransCanada Corporation (TSX:TRP) (NYSE:TRP) (TransCanada) welcomed the U.S. Department of State's (DOS) latest environmental analysis of the Keystone XL Pipeline. The report's conclusions are consistent with results contained in over 15,000 pages of detailed scientific analysis in four previous environmental reviews of Keystone XL dating back to the spring of 2010.

The State Department is today releasing the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (Final Supplemental EIS) for the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline project.

Gulf Coast Project Begins Delivering Crude Oil to Nederland, Texas
TransCanada Corporation (TSX:TRP) (NYSE:TRP) (TransCanada) announced today that at approximately 10:45 a.m. CST on January, 22, 2014, the Gulf Coast Project began delivering crude oil on behalf of our customers to Texas refineries. The completion of this US$2.3 billion crude oil pipeline provides a safe and direct connection between the important oil hub in Cushing, Oklahoma and delivery points on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

National Energy Board responds to gas pipeline rupture west of Fort McMurray, AB
The National Energy Board (NEB or Board) is responding to a pipeline rupture on the Nova Gas Transmission Ltd (NGTL) pipeline system 140 kilometres west of Fort McMurray, AB owned and operated by TransCanada Pipelines Ltd (TransCanada). The release was reported to the NEB early this morning. The size of the release has yet to be determined by the NEB. There is no immediate safety concern for local residents and precautions are being taken to ensure continued public safety.

Irving Oil and TransCanada Announce Joint Venture to Develop New Saint John Marine Terminal
Following TransCanada’s announcement today to proceed with the development of the Energy East Pipeline that will transport western Canadian crude oil to Montreal, Quebec City and Saint John, Irving Oil and TransCanada announced they will form a joint venture to develop and construct the new Canaport Energy East Marine Terminal at Irving Canaport in Saint John.

TransCanada to Proceed with 1.1 Million Barrel/Day Energy East Pipeline Project to Saint John
TransCanada Corporation (TSX:TRP) (NYSE:TRP) (TransCanada) is pleased to announce it is moving forward with the 1.1 million barrel per day (bbl/d) Energy East Pipeline project based on binding, long-term contracts received from producers and refiners. The conclusion of the successful open season confirmed strong market support for a pipeline with approximately 900,000 bbl/d of firm, long-term contracts to transport crude oil from Western Canada to Eastern Canadian refineries and export terminals.

More Progress on Alaska South Central LNG Project
ExxonMobil, BP, ConocoPhillips and TransCanada have begun summer field work as part of their activities associated with a staged pre-FEED (front end engineering design) for the Alaska South Central LNG (SC LNG) project. This summer field work will employ approximately 150 people.
