SOCAR and Transneft sign new agreement
After lengthy negotiations on resumption of oil transportation via Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline, SOCAR and Russian Transneft signed a new deal based on mutually beneficial terms and conditions.

OJSC "AK" Transneft "and JSC" MERO CR, "signed a supplementary agreement to the Memorandum of Understanding
At the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Russian Federation, President of OAO "AK" Transneft "Nikolay Tokarev and CEO of the Czech company MERO Jaroslav Pantuchek signed the Supplementary Agreement number 1 for the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding for 3 years. Currently the Memorandum is a document under which the companies is provided by an effective interaction and exchange of information on the process of transporting oil through the "Friendship" in the Czech Republic.

Russia doesn't Plan Increase Oil Deliveries to China by ESPO Tap till 2017
Russia doesn't plan to increase oil deliveries to China by tapping from East Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline system (ESPO) till the year 2017, as a representative of TRANSNEFT JSC, the Russian oil pipeline monopoly, informed the Agency of Oil Information (AOI). "Until 2017, the Russian Federation will not increase volumes of deliveries to China by pipe. The existing plans of oil pipeline system development do not presuppose any increase of deliveries in this direction by pipe, than it had been stipulated before", he said.

The First Test Party of Russian Oil Dispatched from Ust'-Luga under BPS-2 Project
On March 23rd, 2012, the first party of Russian oil was dispatched in testing mode under "the Baltic oil pipeline system - 2" project (BPS-2). V.V. Putin, the Prime-Minister of the Russian Federation, took part at the test run, he gave start to dispatch of oil into "Nevsky prospect" tanker of 100 thousand tons' displacement. On March 26th the second tanker is planned to be dispatched.

The First Kilometer of Polar Region - Purpe Pipeline welded
TRANSNEFT JSC began building of the Polar Region - Purpe oil pipeline, as the Company's official representative reported. According to him, the first kilometer of the new oil pipeline was welded on March, the 19th. "At present, we reached the welding capacity of 300 meters per day", - he said.

TRANSNEFT plans ESPO-2’s start up in December 2012
TRANSNEFT JSC is planning to commission the second line of the East Siberia – Pacific Ocean oil pipeline (ESPO-2) in December, as A.Bezverkhov (the Vice-President of the oil pipe monopoly) said while his business visit to the Khabarovsk Region. The construction and assembling works will be finished in the third quarter of the current year, and the exploitation will be started in December, he declared. According to the Company’s estimations, the pipes would be filled with oil as early as the middle of the summer of the present year.
