TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. Signs Agreement With Shell Regarding Sivas Basin Exploration Activities
TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. (TSX: TNP) (NYSE Amex: TAT) is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Shell Upstream Turkey BV ("Shell") pursuant to which Shell will co-fund a 2012 TransAtlantic program to collect 1,000 kilometers of 2D seismic data and approximately 8,000 kilometers of airborne gravity gradiometry and magnetic data in Turkey's Sivas Basin, where TransAtlantic holds exploration licenses covering approximately 1.6 million acres. The agreement provides an option for Shell to farm in on the leases after it assesses the data collected.

BP Announces Plan to Sell its Global LPG Bottles and Tank Filling Business

Turkey grants permit for South Stream construction
Today in Moscow the Turkish party officially handed a note by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the South Stream project at a meeting between Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Taner Yildiz, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey.

Memorandum for construction of Trans Anadolu Gas Pipeline signed
On December 26, Azerbaijan's Industry and Energy Ministry and Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) concerning the construction of the Trans Anadolu Gas Pipeline (TANAP). The MoU was signed by Azerbaijan's Industry and Energy minister Natig Aliyev and Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources minister Taner Yildiz.

RasGas delivers first Q-Flex cargo to Turkey
RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) announced today that it successfully delivered a spot sale liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo to EgeGaz at the Aliaga Terminal in Turkey. The cargo was delivered aboard RasGas’ long-term chartered Q-Flex vessel the Al Utouriya. While deliveries of LNG from RasGas to EgeGaz began in 2009, this latest shipment is the first cargo ever delivered to EgeGaz using a Q-Flex vessel.

TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. Reports Incident at Selmo Field
TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. (TSX: TNP) (NYSE Amex: TAT) reports that today at approximately 10:30 pm (local time) one or more armed individual(s) attacked workers at the Company's Selmo field operations in southeastern Turkey. TransAtlantic is sorry to report that three workers were killed in the incident, which at this time appears to be an isolated event. The Company is working with local authorities to investigate the incident and provide additional security for our operations in the vicinity.

Fluor Named Project Management Consultant for New Refinery in Turkey
Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that SOCAR & TURCAS Rafineri A.S. (STRAS), the joint venture of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and TURCAS Petrol A.S. (ISE:TRCAS), awarded the firm a project management consultant (PMC) contract for a new refinery to be built in Aliaga, Turkey. The new planned refinery will be integrated at the Petkim petrochemicals site on the Aegean coast. As PMC for the SOCAR & TURCAS Aegean Refinery (STAR) project, Fluor will assist STRAS in selecting and managing the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor(s) and provide overall project and construction management. Fluor has begun the work and will book the undisclosed contract value in the fourth quarter of 2010.
