SNC-Lavalin Awarded Zirku Facilities Capacity Enhancement Contract By ZADCO
SNC-Lavalin Inc. (TSX: SNC) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by ZADCO, a joint venture owned by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ExxonMobil and Japan Oil Development Company, to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) and pre-FEED services for the Zirku Facilities Capacity Enhancement Project in Abu Dhabi.

The project involves the development of two new crude processing trains and the work will be carried out from SNC-Lavalin’s offices in Abu Dhabi, Toronto and Mumbai.

“This is the third contract we have won with ZADCO, and we are excited to have another opportunity to help a valued client strengthen its position in the Middle East oil and gas sector,” said Neil Bruce, President, Resources, Environment & Water, SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. “This project presents a range of challenges for which we are particularly well positioned to provide solutions.”

Dubai to set up crude oil refinery project
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sam Pai, Chairman, China Sonangol Group. The agreement mandates China Sonangol International Pte. Ltd. to set up a crude oil refinery in Dubai.

ADNOC selects Shell to develop Bab Sour Gas project in Abu Dhabi

Loan for Renewal of an Oil Field Interest in Abu Dhabi of UAE
The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC; Governor: Hiroshi Okuda) signed today a loan agreement amounting to 150 million U.S. dollars (JBIC portion) with Abu Dhabi Oil Co., Ltd. (ADOC). This loan is cofinanced with Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, which brings the overall cofinancing amount to 250 million U.S. dollars.
