Field Development Plan approved for Culzean in UK North Sea
JX Nippon Oil and Gas Exploration Corporation (President and CEO, Shunsaku Miyake) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, JX Nippon Exploration and Production (U.K.) Limited (President and CEO, Kemmei Nakata) and its co-venturers, Maersk Oil (operator) and BP (Britoil) have received approval from the UK Oil & Gas Authority for the development of the Culzean Field.
Ping Petroleum and Hibiscus Petroleum To Acquire Operated Interest of Anasuria Cluster
Ping Petroleum Limited (“Ping”) and Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad (“Hibiscus”) are pleased to announce that they have jointly entered into sale and purchase agreements to each acquire 50% of the entire interests of Shell UK Ltd, Shell EP Offshore Ventures Limited (“Shell”) and Esso Exploration and Production UK Limited (“Esso”) in the Anasuria Cluster of oil and gas fields effective from 1st January 2015. The acquisition of the Anasuria Cluster is subject to regulatory approvals, and third party consents, including the UK Government’s approval and Hibiscus shareholder approval.
Wood Group secures EnQuest contract
Wood Group PSN has been awarded a new five year contract from EnQuest to provide engineering, design, construction, procurement and commissioning services to the Thistle, Heather and Northern Producer offshore assets in the North Sea. The terms of the contract reflect EnQuest’s ongoing focus on reducing costs and improving the efficiency of its North Sea offshore operations. Effective immediately, the contract includes extension options for up to a further five years.
Technip wins subsea contract on Triton FPSO
Technip has been awarded a brownfield subsea contract for the Triton(1) floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, operated by Dana Petroleum, located in the central North Sea. This FPSO vessel is located 193 kilometers east of Aberdeen, at a water depth of approximately 90 meters. It produces oil and gas from different fields - Bittern, Guillemot West and North West, Clapham, Pict and Saxon, which are tied back to the FPSO vessel via subsea facilities comprising a series of pipelines and manifolds.
BW Offshore: Contract extension for BW Athena
BW Offshore has received a notice of termination for the FPSO BW Athena contract from Ithaca Energy. BW Offshore and Ithaca Energy (on behalf of the Athena field co-venturers) have agreed a revised contract structure to continue production on the Athena field beyond expiry of the firm period on a revised compensation scheme, involving advanced payment of an FPSO demobilisation fee and sharing of positive cashflow from the field. Both parties have the right to terminate on a 60-day notice period.
New Oil Discovery in Block 22/16 in the UKCS
JX Nippon Oil and Gas Exploration Corporation (President and CEO, Shunsaku Miyake) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, JX Nippon Exploration and Production (U.K.) Limited (President and CEO, Kemmei Nakata), has made a new discovery in the UK Central North Sea. The 22/16-6 (P1799 License) well on the Dalziel structure flowed at rates in excess of 8,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
