Gasunie and Vopak sign agreement with Shell as launching customer for LNG Break Bulk terminal
Gas infrastructure company N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (Gasunie) and liquid bulk storage provider Royal Vopak (Vopak) today announce that they have signed an agreement with Royal Dutch Shell (Shell) as launching customer for their LNG Break Bulk terminal, to be constructed at the Maasvlakte near Rotterdam. The purpose of this terminal is to make LNG available for distribution to marine bunkering and truck fuelling stations. In this way liquefied natural gas (LNG) can be used as a clean alternative transport fuel.

Swedegas and Vopak investigates open LNG terminal in Gothenburg
Infrastructure Company Swedegas, which owns the national grid for gas distribution and Dutch Vopak LNG, specialized in the storage of LNG and a subsidiary of the world's leading storage company for energy products Royal Vopak, has announced today that they were prepared to initiate a feasibility study for an LNG terminal. Port of Gothenburg supports the initiative.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands officially opens first Dutch Liquefied Natural Gas Import Terminal
Queen Beatrix has officially opened Gate terminal this afternoon. Gate (Gas Access To Europe) terminal is located on the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam and is the first import terminal for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Netherlands. It has been developed by N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie and Royal Vopak. Hundreds of foreign dignitaries, national and international guests amongst others attended the official opening ceremony.

Vopak and Enagas successfully complete acquisition of LNG storage and regasification terminal in Altamira, Mexico
The joint venture of Vopak (60%) and Enagas (40%) has successfully completed the previously announced acquisition of the LNG storage and regasification terminal in Altamira, Mexico.

Vopak and Enagas acquire LNG import and re-gasification terminal in Altamira, Mexico
Vopak and Enagas from Spain have reached agreement with current owners Shell (50%), Total (25%) and Mitsui & Co., LTD. (25%) to acquire 100% of the shares in the LNG import and re-gasification terminal in Altamira, Mexico. For this purpose, a joint venture has been established in which Vopak owns 60% of the shares and Enagas 40% (with joint management control). The closing of the transaction is subject to the conclusion of project financing and government approvals.
