Transaction to realise value and secure long-term growth on the NCS
Statoil ASA (OSE: STL, NYSE: STO) has signed an agreement to exit the Brage licences, farm down in Gjøa and Vega and acquire a 15% stake in the Edvard Grieg licence near the Johan Sverdrup field in the North Sea.

Wintershall invests in Libya and builds new pipeline
Wintershall is sending a clear signal of its commitment to building a New Libya: together with the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC), Germany’s largest, internationally active crude oil and natural gas producer is building a new pipeline which will connect oil production from the Wintershall concession C96 and the oil field Nafoora, operated by the Libyan oil company Arabian Gulf Oil Company (Agoco), with the Amal field. From there the crude oil will be transported to the export port Ras Lanuf. Wintershall plans to lay the approx. 4,000 parts of the 55-km-long pipeline right through the desert by spring 2013. This means that for the first time a foreign operator, Wintershall, is coordinating the realization of a pipeline project on behalf of the Libyan National Oil Company (NOC).

Gazprom and Wintershall sign Framework Agreement on asset swap

Gazprom and Wintershall sign Memorandum of Understanding on South Stream project
Today in Novo-Ogaryovo Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Jurgen Hambrecht, Chairman of the BASF SE Board of Executive Directors signed in the presence of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin a Memorandum of Understanding on the South Stream project, providing for participation of Wintershall Holding GmbH in constructing the gas pipeline offshore section.
