Yemeni Cabinet ratifies modifying LNG price for Kogas
SANA’A, Jan. 29 (Saba)- The Cabinet ratified on Wednesday raising the prices of liquid natural gas (LNG) sold to Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas) from $3.15 to $14 per million Btu, with increase of 400 percent when comparing with the previous prices.

Total acquires an interest in and becomes operator of Block 3 exploration license in Yemen
Total today announces that it has acquired from Oil Search a 40% interest in the Block 3 exploration license in Yemen, which it will operate. The license covers an area of 2,954 square kilometers in the eastern section of the Marib Basin. The acquisition is subject to the approval of Yemen’s Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources.

Nexen Provides Update on Operations in Yemen
Nexen Inc. (TSX, NYSE: NXY) today reported it has been informed by the Government of Yemen that its application to extend the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) on Block 14 (Masila) has not been accepted. As a result, the PSA will expire on December 17, 2011. The block will then be operated by a newly created Yemen national operating company.
