Premier Oil today announces it has agreed to acquire the whole of E.ON’s UK North Sea assets for a net consideration of $120 million plus working capital adjustments. The proposed acquisition, which will be funded from existing cash resources, adds immediate cash generative production, realises tax synergies on Premier’s current c.$3.5bn UK tax loss position and is accretive to lending covenants.

The National Energy Board (NEB) has approved the application of LNG Canada Development Inc. (LNG Canada) for a 40 year natural gas export licence with a maximum term quantity of 1494 billion cubic metres. The issuance of this licence is subject to the approval of the Governor in Council.

(BMV and NYSE: ICA), was authorized by Pemex Transformación Industrial (Pemex) to proceed with the engineering, procurement and construction (Phase II) of the Madero Clean Diesel project at the Madero Refinery in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Fluor booked its $500 million share of the contract in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Norway: Total sells a further 15% interest in the Gina Krog field

Total has signed an agreement to sell a 15% interest in the Gina Krog field in Norway to Tellus Petroleum, a subsidiary of Sequa Petroleum NV. The completion payment will total 1.4 billion NOK. The transaction is subject to the approval of the Norwegian authorities.

"As a result of a full comparative review of our global asset portfolio and in particular of our vast portfolio of opportunities in Norway, we have decided to further divest our participation in this project after the initial sale of an 8% interest in 2014. This sale is in line with our willingness to optimize the Group’s allocation of capital,” commented Arnaud Breuillac, President Exploration & Production.

Sanctioned in 2013, the Gina Krog project is currently under development in the Norwegian North Sea and is expected to start-up in 2017. Upon completion of the sale, Total will retain a 15% interest in Gina Krog alongside Statoil (58.7%, operator), Tellus Petroleum (15%), PGNiG Upstream International (8%) and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (3.3%).

Total Exploration & Production in Norway

(BMV and NYSE: ICA), signed a contract with Pemex Transformacion Industrial to supply detail engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the utilities and offsites that are part of the Tula Refinery upgrade at Hidalgo, Mexico. The total contract value is $1.1 billion. Fluor will book its $550 million contract share in the fourth quarter of 2015.
